Marks are currency in destiny are used to purchase items from faction representatives in the tower. Players can gain a maximum of 100 of each type of mark each week. (This max is reset during the Weekly Reset)

If a player reaches the obtains the maximum marks for the week they will not receive any more marks from that faction until the Weekly Reset

Obtaining Methods[]

There are multiple ways to obtain marks in destiny, but players get different marks depending on the activity they are participating in.

Vanguard Marks:

Crucible Marks:

Players can sell 50 of any material to one of the quartermaster for 5 marks from that quartermaster's faction.

The Dark Below Changes[]

Players with The Dark Below expansion can no longer sell materials to quartermasters, instead players can use Marks to buy materials from the perspective Quartermasters.
