Mercury is the first planet from the sun and a planet which first appeared in the Destiny trailer at the Activision Booth at E3. Little is confirmed regarding Mercury at this time, as Destiny has yet to confirm any details or speculation. Although, there is a slight glimpse of Mercury in Destiny's Crucible as a playable map. Based on the map in-game, Mercury contains a sand-like ground with ruins that may resemble those in Venus.

In the brief images of Mercury that we've gotten, there seem to be towers, possibly the ruins of a human colony.

In the New Beginnings Trailer, it is said that the Traveler turned Mercury into "A garden planet" during The Golden Age.
